Lake George is affectionately known as the Queen of American Lakes because of her beauty and clear water. In fact, she is considered to be one of the cleanest and clearest lakes in the world. Her rich history is also as impressive as her visual beauty.
"LG", as she is often referred to, is about 32 miles long, 2.5 miles at her widest, and roughly 200 feet at her deepest. She is located in the southeast corner of the Adirondack Park in Upstate New York.
